Our NORDIQ Nutrition team consists of experienced nutritionists and experts on food supplements. We are constantly developing our expertise and knowledge on herbal medicine and keep ourselves updated on the latest research done on nutrition.
How did we get started with NORDIQ Nutrition?
We realized that people do not have access to naturally derived, high-grade and truly effective food supplements. We found no food supplements that would bring together the ancient tradition of using nature’s potent resources and scientific research on food supplements and vitamins with hormesis. This is why we created NORDIQ Nutrition in 2017, fusing together these elements.
An increasing number of scientists have recently started to study the mechanisms of hormesis that stimulate the body system. The origins of hormesis can in fact be dated back to as far as the 16th century, but more thorough research has started only recently. After relentlessly studying this topic and familiarizing ourselves with a vast amount of studies on hormesis, we decided that hormesis should be integrated into the unique botanical combination featured in all our products: the NORDIQ Hormetic blend.
OUR MASTER OF FORMULATIONS
With over 20 years of experience working as Technical Director for prestigious global food supplement companies, Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the NORDIQ Nutrition team. Early in his career he worked as a professional chef in London, where he developed a passion for vegetarian food, nutrition, and health. Having studied at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition, Alex went on to receive a master’s degree in Nutritional Medicine from Surrey University, before furthering his studies in Herbal Medicine, at the University of Westminster.
Through academic research, Alex developed a keen interest in plant chemistry; in particular, the study of mitochondrial functioning and how specific nutrients and botanicals provide support. These findings were then used as a strong basis from which he investigated health and performance optimization through high-level nutrition. Alex later adapted his core principles to include ideas from the emerging field of hormesis; a way of thinking that underpins all his formulation development.
As one of the leading European experts in nutritional and herbal medicine, we approached Alex to formulate an exclusive range of next-generation food supplements, utilizing where possible, botanicals that are native to our Nordic homeland. The cooperation has been a great success, so we invited Alex to join the company as our NORDIQ Nutrition Technical Director. Alex’s formulation blueprint has continued to be at the beating heart of our product development; creating high-quality supplements, inspired by synergy, complexity, and hormesis.
